So I just bought a tripod. Only a cheap one, $25, but it'll do!

hehehe
it gets a bit quiet in here
no one comes to look
or post

so I dont visit that often

depends on what you gonna do with the tripod, you might find it not up to the job.

I got a new tripod not that long ago also cos my older one isnt quite up to the job of holding the big lens.

is funny too cos there was a special on but I only found out 10 mins before it ended so I ordered in hurry

didnt read hard enough due to time, so the g model didnt look out of place
when it arrived turned out to be 3m high. g stands for giant.
whoops
at first was annoyed but comes in handy now
on uneven ground especially.

Yeah its pretty wobbly, gotta use the 5 second timer to allow it to stop wobbling enough.
It was 35 bucks, down to 25.
Probly couldn't use it on a windy day. It's pretty piss weak.
But at the end of the day, its better than I had.
Hopefully get some night time shots up here in the not too distant future.
Got a couple from my balcony, but they aren't very good.
I'll put one up tomorrow so u can tell me all about how wrong I did it.

no probs.

auto white balance seems to get the best results at night.

you are right about the wind issues too.
probably ok if you arent into that sort of photography extensively.
